Bucharest... and FOOTBALL!!

Well this has been an interesting school vacation. On Thursday, Dad,mom, Spencer, and I were SUPPOSED to go to Bucareşt today. We were supposed to. But mom was sick with stomach flue but we couldn't postpone our outing 'cause dad had already payed for our hotel. So mom stayed home with Miss Sarah and the kids. It wasn't really an outing because the reason we went was to get our passports renewed.
Well we had an exciting 7-hour trip to the capital of Romania. We saw the Danube River, Serbia, the birthplace of (bad guy music here, please) Nicolae Ceacescu. Ceacesce was Romania's last dictator before he was killed and Romania was liberated on Christmas Day. When we got to Bucareşt, it took us about an hour to get to our hotel. We stopped at a gas station where we realized we were on the wrong side of this fun-driving-through city. Well we finally found our 3-room hotel, which had a bedroom,bathroom, and a family room/kitchen. Then we realized we HAD had good luck... there was a Pizza Hut right across the street!! After having a delicous meal, we watched a movie with dad.
The next day I had bad luck. The stomach flue. It's been going around some time: first Nate,then Spencer, then mom, now me. We got our passports renewed, met some Americans who lived in Romania (but they lived in the northeat, we lived in the southwest),and tried to get out of the city. We dropped by People's Palace, the largest building in the world (in square miles), then drove through mountains that were beautiful!! Then we drove though Sibiu, and into Lugoj. When we finally got home, I slept in the 'sick' bed. Unlike anybody else I didn't throw-up all day. But that night, I got up and threw up. It even came out of my nose.
Anyway, since then I've watched football games, played football games, & played basketball. Oh, did I ever tell you guys me and Spencer got signed up for basketball practice? Well this Saturday we play a real game against kids from Timişoară. Then after the game we'll watch team Poli play somebody, I don't know who. But Poli is the basktball club team from Timisoara.
That's all for today!! I'm filled with noodles,and pork topped with melted cheese or something but it couldn't have been cheese because I don't like cheese and I loved that stuff.
