For the Thanksgiving we went to the Tyler's house at 1:00ish. The adults talked while the kids moped around saying,"When is it time to eat?" There was our family, Miss Sarah, the OTHER Miss Sarah, the Tylers, Mr. Bruce, his wife, two little girls, and the Freels. That is 22 people. At 2:00, we ate and ate. We had stuffing, eggs, pumpkin rolls, cookies, red beans, turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, apple pie, pumpkin pie, and rolls. After that we had seconds. Then thirds. Then we groaned and groaned.
After the food, we played inside, and outside. Outside was ping-pong, darts, soccer, a swingset, and lots of space to run. Inside there was Wii,a parade in New York on TV (it had movie characters to), leftover food on the table, and cars. I stayed outside for a long time. Nobody else was outside except me and a few small kids. Nobody was my age. Except for Cami (but she stayed inside the whole time). I played soccer and tried to play darts. When I went inside, I ate some more cookies, and asked for a piece of apple pie. Then I played Wii with the adults.
Well at 7:30 the pregame for a football game started. We don't have cable so the only way to watch NFL games are to watch play-by-play's or to wake up and watch. This was our first, live NFL game in my life! It was the New England Patriots at the Detroit Lions. Everyone (who liked football) watched and talked about NFL. Mr. Bruce said he like the 49ers. Our Miss Sarah cheers for the Packers. We cheer for... the Kansas City Chiefs!! The other Miss Sarah liked the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Tylers cheered for, of all teams, the Denver Broncos. Mrs. Tyler bugged me to death reminding me about the fact that Denver beat Kansas City. I reassured her and said the Chiefs would beat Denver next time. The little kids played in the other room with mom. Everyone, except Spencer,Andrew, and Cami cheered for Detroit. When we got home Mr. Bruce had told dad about a website that we could watch free NFL games live. So we finished the game. New England won though, but they'll win next week.
That's how my Thanksgiving was fun because there was so many things to do, and I could go back and forth between games whenever I wanted. So long!!
