On July 8th, the Herbsters came to Lugoj. They brought a 'white' paper bag instead of a brown one. They stayed at a hotel called Tivoli, because Florin was staying in our guest house. The next day- Saturday, we went to Coştei. The Sehesteds (did I spell that correctly)came. The pastor of the church came, and his family too. We played outside, then we stumbled inside dying because of the heat. After a yummy meal us kids went outside and played war. The adults had war, too but a better translation for it is 'mouth' war.
Our kids war was boys vs. girls. Amalia (a little girl) was on nobody's team. Gina kept trading sides (with whoever was winning). Since boys aren't really aloud to fight girls, we just threw balls at them, and sent spies everwhere. But Joey proved to be a rotten spy. So, we sent Gina in. That didn't work. So we took a water break, Sam quickly ran and hid the balls somewhere. After the break, I snuck up on the girls and was making progress, when the adults called me in to take some pictures. So Sam tried to sneak up. That, happily, worked! The girls also attacked, but only with their mouths. Well, the girls whined because the couldn't find the balls, so an adult found them and gave the to the girls. We eventually stole all the balls (it's war, so we wern't being 'the meanest boys ever' as the girls put it). We hid the balls in the boys bathroom. Stupidly, the girls walked in and took the balls. So, after backfiring a couple of their 'plans', we sat around on a sand dune. It was a great fort, there was a ditch in the middle where we kept the balls, and it was high. It was located well, there was no way the girls could sneak up on us, unless they went through the neighbors property, and across someone's garden. Even if they did that, there might be a possibility of Spencer turning around and spotting them. Then Gina, went on the girl's side and became captain of the girls. That's when we won!
Well, we went home a few minutes after that. When we got home, we were half dead, filthy, and very, very, very glad we had only one sister. Still, one sister IS more than enough!!
It WAS a very fun day!
